Process

How a painting visit goes.

  1. 1

    Prep

Move and cover furniture, drop cloth the floor, sand glossy spots, fill nail holes, caulk gaps, tape edges.

  2. 2

    Prime

Spot-prime patches and any bare drywall. Full prime if the wall color is changing dramatically or stains are bleeding through.

  3. 3

    Cut and roll

Brush the edges and corners, roll the field. Two full coats with 4 hours between.

  4. 4

    Punch and clean

Pull tape, touch up trim and inside corners, vacuum, walk the room with you.

From painting customers

What homeowners say.

They patched some drywall in our basement, textured it to match, and painted the whole room. You can't find the seam. Fair price for the work and they cleaned up after themselves.

Frequently asked questions

Do you do full exterior repaints?
We handle exterior touch-up — trim, doors, shutters, fascia, a single elevation. A full exterior repaint is a different scope and we'll refer you to a painter who does that all day.
How many coats do you apply?
Two coats minimum on walls, one on ceilings unless they're stained or going from dark to light. We prime any patches or bare spots before the first coat.
Do you supply the paint?
Your choice. We default to Sherwin-Williams Duration or Emerald for most rooms because the coverage is better and the cure is harder. You can also buy whatever you want and we'll use it.
How long before I can use the room?
Light use the same evening. Avoid hanging anything on the walls for 48 hours so the paint fully cures without denting.
Can you paint cabinets?
Cabinet doors and frames, yes — hand-painted with a brush-and-roll finish. If you want a sprayed factory-style finish, that's a different process and we'll refer you to a sub who runs an HVLP setup.
What about deck refinishing?
We pressure-wash, sand the rough spots, and apply two coats of stain or sealer. Spring through early fall only — stain needs dry conditions and 50°F+ to cure properly.
