Meet Josh Johnson
Josh has spent 25 years with a tool in his hand. He started out working for a handyman business, moved on to installing windows and shower doors, and really cut his teeth under a full-service home remodeling contractor.
For the last decade-plus he's run his own remodeling company, taking on everything from kitchens and bathrooms to the jobs most contractors won't touch — removing load-bearing walls and re-engineering the structure, lifting and leveling settled homes, and full gut remodels.
His strongest lane is hands-on repair and carpentry: diagnosing what failed, making a clean fix, and knowing when a job needs a different specialist. The design sense he's built from 25 years of seeing what works — and what doesn't — is the kind of thing you can't fake.

Know what you're getting before work starts
Built Solid does two things: handyman repairs and full remodels (kitchens, baths, basements, and whole homes), plus new decks and deck care. Before any work starts, you'll know in writing what's included, what you're responsible for, and whether a permit, engineer, or licensed trade is needed.
We don't do plumbing or electrical work as a handyman job. When a remodel needs a licensed plumber, electrician, or a permit, the written plan says so and says who's handling it.
