Measure the rough opening, remove the old door, check the frame for plumb and square.

Set the door
Shim plumb on both jambs, fasten through the shims, check the reveal at the head.

Hardware
Install hinges, lockset, deadbolt, weatherstripping. Adjust the strike plate so it latches without slamming.

Trim and finish
Caulk the gap to drywall, install or reinstall casing, prime ready for paint.

How long does a door replacement take?

An interior pre-hung door with trim takes about 2 hours. An exterior door can take 3–4 hours depending on the frame condition and whether the threshold needs to be rebuilt.

Do you handle full-house window replacement?

For more than 4–5 windows, we scope it as a project under our remodeling service. A single window or a couple of sashes, we handle as handyman work.

Can you match my existing trim profile?

Usually. Most homes use standard profiles still stocked at the mill or big-box. If yours is a custom profile, we'll get a millwork quote.

My door sticks in summer. Can you fix it?

Yes. Most sticking doors come from house settling or humidity-swollen jambs. We plane the high spots, adjust the hinges, and shim the strike plate. About a 90-minute job.

Can you rekey my locks?

We swap locksets and deadbolts. For rekeying existing locks to a new key, we partner with a locksmith — call them direct and we'll handle the install side if you want a different lock entirely.
