Inspect
Walk the perimeter, check every downspout, look for sag, separation, and rust at the seams.

Clean and clear
Pull debris by hand into a tarp, flush the downspouts with water, check for proper drainage away from the foundation.

Repair
Reseat hangers, reseal seams, patch holes, replace bad sections.

Test and document
Run a hose at the high end, watch the water flow, send you photos of anything that needs follow-up.

Frequently asked questions
How often should gutters be cleaned?
Twice a year in most of Northern Illinois — once in spring after the buds drop, once in late fall after the leaves are down. Heavy tree cover may need a third cleaning in late summer.
Do you work on roofs?
Small-scope only — pipe boot reseals, flashing repairs, nail pops, single-shingle replacement. Full shingle replacement and tear-offs go to a roofer.
Can you fix storm damage quickly?
We'll get out fast for emergency tarping or temporary fixes. The permanent repair gets scheduled from there. If your insurance is involved, we'll document everything with photos.
What if my gutters are pulling away from the house?
Usually a fastener problem — the original spikes have backed out or the wood behind them has rotted. We pull the bad section, repair the fascia if needed, and re-hang with new hidden hangers screwed into the rafter tails.
Do you install gutter guards?
Yes. We install drop-in screen guards and the snap-on micromesh systems. We don't install the proprietary integrated systems sold by national gutter companies — those are tied to whole-gutter replacement.
What's the deal with downspout extensions?
Standard splash blocks aren't enough on most lots. We install 4–6 ft drainpipe extensions or pop-up emitters that route water 10+ ft from the foundation. About a $145 add per downspout and worth it the first wet spring.
